Inspired by Nature, Delivered To You

We are fascinated with the wonder, variety, and beauty of the natural world around us. Whether we are birding, hiking, or simply sitting by a stream, we savor the leisurely calm of the wood and the river that helps us release the stress from our otherwise hectic lives. Nature gives us permission to slow down, to be patient enough to spot rare wildlife (or observe familiar wildlife long enough to see something new). The pace slows, the air freshens, our senses are heightened.

As much as we wish it, most of us cannot be on the trail all the time. For those times we can’t be outdoors, we bring the wonder with us into our homes, offices, and cars. Whether it is a mug with a favorite bird or a humorous phrase, a piece wall art bringing wildlife home, or a puzzle drawing together family and friends, we hope our designs bring the same sense of peaceful relaxation as your latest trek into the woods.

Scioto Trader is based in central Ohio, just a few miles from the Scioto river. We are gifted with an abundance of local parks, trails, and native wildlife. Our designs and photography reflect that local variety, but we do not stop there! Ohio experiences all the seasons, making this a migratory stop for many species from other regions. Most of our photography is done locally, but we include designs and images of birds and wildlife from other parts of the country as well.

Nature is inherently authentic, and we reflect that in our designs. We choose not to rely on stock photos or AI-generated content in our products. Everything we offer was captured or created by a member of our team or a real person whose work we invite into our catalog. We may use “AI-assisted” tools to clean up images for printing; but whenever we do, we stay true to the original subject and experience.

We appreciate you visiting us today! As you browse our catalog, we encourage you to take your time – as you would when enjoying a trail. Like spotting a bird in a thicket, the item that catches your eye might not be on the first page. Grab some coffee (our mugs are great for that!), settle in, and let us bring you a piece of wonder to remind you of your own adventures. If you see something you love, but wish it was on a different product, please let us know – we are happy to post a design or photo on a different product to get you exactly what you are looking for.
